Investigate the complex. Talk to people. Daydream for clarity. Plan simply. Create value.

This is how I help brands grow. I identify opportunities to create value in people’s minds through marketing and communications.

I’m currently working in a freelance capacity, collaborating with teams at global brands, organisations and agencies.

Hello. I’m Helen.

I’m a people person who relishes a marketing challenge.

My approach draws on curiosity, empathy, creativity and pragmatism. I blend rigour with imagination. I’ve found it’s the best way focus the challenge from the perspective of the people at the heart of it, without getting bogged down in what’s been done before.

Storytelling is at the heart of what I do. I like to keep things simple. And useful. But that’s not to say those things can’t be inspiring or ambitious. They must be. How else can we get everyone involved working together around a vision for a better outcome?

I’ve gone from Client Services to Strategy & Planning, from PR to Social Media and Digital Experience. But I’ve always held brand at the heart of what I do.

My experience has naturally focused around content and communications, exploring ways that a business can leverage their brand and use creative moments and useful experiences to get noticed, evoke emotional responses, create memories, build associations, and persuade people to buy, use or do something.

All the good stuff.
